Pricing Estimates

We have found that most of our costs for a full restoration approximate 35% - 50% of a comparable replacement cost. Although a written guarntee of exact pricing can only be provided upon our visual inspection, your provision of two basic pieces of information will allow us to closely estimate cost for you. The following descriptive will help you to complete our form for estimate. We will provide you with a written estimate prior to or at pick up and a written invoice upon receipt of your furniture at our facility. Although there is rarely a significant difference between the two, we will contact you prior to starting any restorative work whenever there is more than 10% difference. You are also welcome to ask us to call you with price confirmation prior to initiation of work regardless. WROUGHT IRON MESH/ SLAT FRAMES

Mesh is gridlike. Slats typically support removable cushions. When the seat is different from the back, the seat is generally the qualifier. This category may include a "designed" metal but does NOT include the heavy "grape" motif.

WROUGHT IRON FRAMES WITH POP OUT CUSHIONS OR VINYL STRAP

Frame is "open" allowing for the placement of a SUPPORTING cushion, usually with a wooden base. This open style may also utilize vinyl straps, usually 2" to support the cushion.

CAST IRON/CAST ALUMINUM GRAPELIKE DESIGN

 

This type of design motif requires that the entire piece, including nuts and bolts, be broken down into separate pieces. Loveseats are a very common piece in this design.

ALUMINUM FRAME WITH VINYL STRAIGHT STRAP

 

Aluminum frames can be tubular (hollow) or solid. Straight strap is typically 1.5" or 2" wide and runs in one direction only. On occasion straps may be vertical on the back and horizontal on the seat, but NO interlacing or crossing of strap occurs anywhere.

ALUMINUM FRAME W/ VINYL WEAVE

Aluminum frames can be tubular (hollow) or solid. A vinyl weave is typically 5/8", 1" or 1.5" and runs in more than one direction. They can interlace themselves horizontally and vertically or diagonally. The 5/8" and 1" weave is usually one piece of vinyl knotted at one end, woven onto the frame, and knotted again. The 1.5" weave has each strap individually connected onto the frame.

Most often of dining chair seat height, this very comfortable style will allow a gentle backward and forward rocking motion.

Usually of dining chair seat height, this piece employs a mechanism that allows for rotating movement.

HIGHBACK CHAIR

A highback can be found on many different types of pieces most often including dining chairs and swivels. "Normal" back height approximates the shoulders, typically a highback would be considered anything above shoulder height for the average person.

GLIDER

Most often found on loveseats, a specific gliding mechanism allows for smooth (vs rocking) forward and backward motion.

CHAISE LOUNGE

We group any piece that allows for head-to-foot support in this category. A chaise may or may not allow for the back to be placed in different reclining positions.Some chaises, called contour chaises resemble an "SÕ from the side view and allow the entire support to rock backwards.

Allows for two person seating.

SOFA 1 PC

Allows for three person seating. Most commonly is wrought iron and often has one or two side club chairs that are the same size as 1/3 of the sofa. This piece most often sits lower than standard dining height.

Very similar to the 1pc sofa except that the three sections can be separated.

Usually 12"-18" high, these pieces can be used either as footstools or side tables.

TABLES

Obviously, tables encompass a large variety of pieces. They can be very small end tables, or very large dining tables and everything inbetween. They can have tops of metal Ð gridlike or solid, fiberglass, plexiglass or tempered glass. They can have pedestal or leg supports. They can be round, oval, square, rectangular or "rounded" square. Although Chair Care cannot restore glass or plexiglass, we can replace it. The more information you are able to provide, the better we will be able to estimate for you.
